Bruce Cockburn penned these immortal words in 1984 for his song "Lovers in a Dangerous Time". They were quoted again by Bono in "God Part 2". They yearn for a world, that is still under the cloak of evil and depravity, and hope in action for change.
Imagine that you lived your life in your hometown and when you went to get your license it turned out that your parents brought you to this country from England when you were still a baby and as such, you were not a citizen of the US. What is to be done? What is not to be done...After living your whole life in the US, that suddenly you should be sent packing to a foreign land. It is right that the US Congress should immediately give help and protection to those who have been labelled "Dreamers". It is the right thing to do. Immigration is a thorny issue with lots of problems. Let's fix something now that makes sense and helps people...our people...humanity. Here's another immortal quote: “If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the alien, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your forefathers for ever and ever” (Jeremiah 7:5-7 NIV 1984) Cada año vamos a Juárez, Mexico en equipo para construir una casa para una familia que, en verdad, la ocupa.
Profe Paasch Spanish 3 and 4 students of Gilbert Christian High School,
While you finish off your summer, here's an opportunity to start 25 points ahead in Spanish! EXTRA CREDIT BEFORE School starts?? Yup! You can earn up to 25 points while you are still enjoying your summer, just by tweeting! Here’s how: 1. Follow @SpanishGCHS (Spanish Club) on Twitter. 2. Think about the benefits of being bilingual. Tweet up to 5 benefits, with the hashtag #porqueespañol. Then put a photo that you took of a sign or a word or something that visually shows one or more of the benefits of knowing another language. I will give 5 points for each serious reason. 3. And I will give the full 25 points for 5 reasons AND the photo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMmOLN5zBLY Example: The job that I want, prefers that I speak Spanish. (if you don’t have twitter, send your reasons and photo to [email protected]) Got it? Get it. Good.

Está filmado en Palacio de la Magdalena (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. in Santander (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.. Bajo La Misma Luna (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. historia excelente de inmigración, pero poco español. Which Way Home (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.- documental intenso de niños viajando desde América Central hacia los EE UU, sin padres. |
